| What a regatta! Fantastic sailing, sunshine, good breeze all be it very shifty but what do you expect on a lake! Skiing was great, once again blue blue sky's almost T-shirt weather! The Tahoe laser fleet so welcoming. A must regatta for next year!
Myself as the lone Bay Area Laser sailor managed to squeeze a second in the sailing with Nick Pullin winning the day. With seven short races in breeze in the low teens and big shifts. The skiing was almost a complete reversal of the sailing scores, with Nick myself and Matt Clark getting 1,2,3 in the sailing and last, 2nd last and 3rd last in the skiing respectively. Justine Roach the winner in the skiing but coming last in the sailing. All this makes for a very interesting final combined scoring and Justine coming 3rd breaking a 5 way tie. Stan Eriksson wins the event with consistency 4th in the sailing and 3rd in the skiing. The combined scoring of this event is what makes it very interesting. Also great sponsorship from Helly Hansen with the winner getting a voucher for sailing or ski wear top and bottoms!
