We had another great turnout with 13 boats to start with. The wind was strong and gusty from the south with lots of shifts that made for a cold and challenging night with quite a few capsizes. The wind took its toll and caused a fair bit of attrition early in the evening but calmed down for the later races.
As usual, the racing was tight with a tie-breaker deciding 3rd & 4th and 5th only 1 point behind that. Kevin showed great form with three bullets and two thirds to take a commanding lead.
We also completed some unfinished business from last year and presented Ralph with the completed "Broken Compass" trophy which is the fleet's annual award to the person who did the most for fleet during the year.
Svendsen's made the night though! 2 Kegs which we finished up. Sausages and dogs. Lots, lots, lots of give aways including spray tops, watches, gear. SB3 on display and out sailing around. Lots of food. Warm grill and heaters. Plan to be there for the next Super Thursday!
