With another epicurean triumph, the laser fleet wrapped up our final night as hosts with a bang. Kudos to Ralph for coming up with the concept and all the great food! As a testament to our poor portion control the crowd stayed late and there was still leftovers.
On the water we were treated to gusty winds with quite a few capsizes in both fleets. Racing was pretty close but Drake dis his best to put the lie to the "Old age & treachery beats youth & skill" saw. In the last two races he port tacked the fleet and he promised he'd do the same at the Nationals the next day. In fact, Drake deserves some sort of iron man/mad dog prize since he did Thursday night, the North Americans, the Laser Slalom, Thursday Night, the PCCs, Thursday Night, and then was off to the US Nationals the very next day. Maybe Advil & Ben Gay would be an appropriate prize.
